Why a 1940s theme?
Well, yes... as you may have already guessed, we're a couple of those misty-eyed, hopeless romantics.​​ We have a soft spot for the charm and elegance of the 1940s glamour portrayed in our favorite Hollywood films: Casablanca, The Philadelphia Story, and The Thin Man series, just to name a few. The Big Band sounds of Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, and Artie Shaw layered with the dreamy vocals of singers like Helen Forrest and Ray Eberle evoke a sense of timeless romance.

With this theme in mind, we thought the warm weather black tie would be the perfect attire for our wedding.
